Bassett's Bassetti Liquorice from our online sweet shop. A bag of 3 original hard sticks of liquorice with a flat end, great for scooping sherbet up with! Sometimes these are called Liquorice Hard Juice. Glossy, shiny, hard and chewy liquorice. We've lost count of how many sticks we've sold of this in our traditional sweet shop in Yorkshire.
Originally made in Pontefract along with the other popular liquorice sweets. All the liquorice used to make liquorice sweets comes from the root of the plant. All the pieces of the plant that are above the ground such as the stalk and leaves are all thrown out, it's just the root of the plant that is used to produce the liquorice extract, which in turn is used to make our favourite liquorice sweets.
